Central Iowa Business Conference Announces New Speaker Line Up
2022 Central Iowa Business Conference, hosted by the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce
(DES MOINES, IA) The Central Iowa Business Conference committee announces Leigh Anne Tuohy will be joining the keynote speaker lineup this week.
Henry Winkler, originally rostered to present a keynote address, will no longer be attending the 2022 conference. The committee was notified this week, that Mr. Winkler was disappointed to change plans as he tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Our thoughts are with Mr. Winkler and the committee is already in discussions to bring him to Central Iowa in the near future.
As Iowan’s are known for doing, the committee took this opportunity to quickly adapt. The Chamber has secured Leigh Anne Tuohy, of The Blind Side to headline this highly sought after conference.
Ms. Tuohy is a daring motivational speaker and a New York Times best-selling author who has lectured for a broad spectrum of audiences. Her personal journey was later documented in Michael Lewis’ New York Times best-selling 2006 story The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game and its 2009 feature film adaptation The Blind Side. The story follows Oher from his impoverished beginnings, to how Leigh Anne and Sean adopted him, to reaching football success.
The Conference will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Prairie Meadows Event Center from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The conference has boasted a great lineup of speakers including Jack Stack, called one of the “top 10 minds in small business” by Fortune Magazine, and Justin Patton; an international speaker and certified Executive Coach.
